A woman walks into an accountant’s office and tells him that she needs to file her taxes..

The accountant says, “Before we begin, I’ll need to ask you a few questions.”

He gets her name, address, social security number, etc. and then asks,”What’s your occupation?”

“I’m a prostitute,” she says.

The accountant is somewhat taken aback and says, ” Let’s try to rephrase that.”

The “yo mama joke” has quickly become a significant part of the popular culture in North America. Originating in the early nineteen-nineties (primarily in urban american neighbourhoods), this variety of comedic insult was used in head-to-head competitions between individuals to determine who was the better trash-talker (“The dozens” was a common name for such a competition). Although yo mama jokes were used by urban artists through hip hop songs and movies, they officially made their way to the mainstream audience with the introduction of the the “Yo Momma” television series on MTV (hosted by Wilmer Valderamma of “That 70′s Show” fame).
